DIY Home Office Makeover - My Work From Home Set-Up 2021

Not too long after making over our previous editing command station back early 2020, my old 2013 Mac Pro died and had to be replaced. My new machine was much larger than the last which ended up messing with the layout of our office. To accommodate the computer, we had to shift our desks away from the wall which put Chris desk too close to the server closet where we keep our Raid towers.

A few months ago I pulled apart the space to make it a little more functional, but with the heaviness of the Pandemic weighing on my mental health, I couldn’t work up the energy or motivation to finish the space, hang the shades etc. Now, about 6 months later my energy is coming back with the longer days and I realized the office needed a complete re-do. The new layout was boring and uninspired, and the space was feeling flat.

After analyzing the space, pinning tons of photos, and making far too many moodboards, I settled on a dark and moody scheme with a completely fresh layout. You can watch the room come together in the video below and keep scrolling for a list of furniture and products featured. 10/10 worth the effort, SO happy with how it turned out!
