This is our annual holiday round up number three! 10 of our favourite things, a list we’ve been collecting since last Christmas!
I have included a number of links in this post due to the variety of locations you guys are in, but you might be able to find these items locally! Let’s do our best to support local businesses!
Ember Mug
We’ve all heard of the Ember Smart Mug, the mug that heats your beverage in it’s own coaster while it sits on your desk. I bought this for Chris last year but never used it until a few weeks ago. It takes me like… 2 hours to finish a cup of coffee, and now I can’t stop using this mug because it keeps my beverage HOT! I got the little coaster set up at my desk, maybe I should get my own!

Trade Coffee subscription
I’ve been subscribed to Trade Coffee for a couple of years and I love that coffee beans show up at my house whenever I want. You can change the frequency in which they come depending on how much coffee you are drinking as well as customize your taste preferences!
Fellow Kettle
On the note of coffee, if you are making hot bevs you have to have a beautiful kettle. We love the fellow pour over kettle for our coffee obsession (we use it for tea too), they also make a lovely stove top tea kettle that i’ll be picking up once we make our cabin a reality.
Sony Link Buds S
I’ll admit we were gifted these from Sony Kando Trip but they literally blew me away! I’ve been obsessed with Sony headphones ever since we got the WH-1000XM3 a few years ago. These wireless ear buds have phenomenal noise cancelling as well as ambient sound control settings. Perfect for traveling and cutting out the noise, or walking while listening music while also maintaining the ability to hear what’s around you. 10/10 better than the original Airpods.
Photography Gloves
These ProMaster photo gloves are a MUST HAVE if you are on an excursion or traveling in cooler weather and taking photos. We took these on our Newfoundland photo trip and wore them on almost every early morning shoot! They make two kinds a knit version and a 4 layer version!

We picked up this back up battery for our most recent helicopter travel series Heading: NORTH so we could charge our gear off grid. It lasted for three nights and four days and kept our cameras, phones, and even FPV drone batteries charged! Plus it has two built in lights. I can’t wait to use this car camping next spring!
Vssl First Aid Kit
I build out this first aid kit for my truck on VSSL’s website. You can get pre-made kits or customize based on your needs. Mine contains a first aid kit, some rope, trail marking tape, compass and a flash light!
Ugmonk Analog
I love a physical checklist so naturally I am obsessed with the UGMONK Analog productivity system! I love keeping all my project management digital using Milanote, but I keep my daily to-do lists hand written in plain sight. Crossing things off at the end of the day feels SO good!
meater Block
We bought a Kamado Joe last year and are OBSESSED with BBQ! We’ve been smoking a lot of large cuts of meat, and getting it right is impossible without a meat thermometer! We love an instant read thermometer, we love a wired probe, but NOTHING beats the Meater wireless smart thermometers for tracking your cooks. They pair with an app on your phone that tracks your cook, internal meat temp, the temp of the smoker (or oven, bbq, etc) and will send off an alarm if anything is getting too hot OR when your meat is ready to pull. It takes the guess work out of BBQ and it’s one of our fav accessories.
Giant Heading Pad
If you have any pain ever and love a heating pad as much as I do, then this XXL pad is a game changer! It’s so big, gets hot enough, and is so plush and cozy!
