Before and After: West Coast Master Bedroom

Temporarily downsizing from almost 2500 square feet to 500 square feet was an interesting feat. This gave us the opportunity to cut down on the amount of "stuff" in our closets, something we have been wanting to do for a while. We came with less so we could live minimally, but more on that in another post.

When it came to designing the bedroom, we wanted to pick stylish pieces we liked rather than being boxed in by having to have end tables with drawers or under bed storage. When our friends over at SAM Design and EQ3 came on board for the bedroom project, we were so excited to have access to the most beautiful products, most of which we had already pinned on our inspiration board on Pinterest.

We started out with that basic, boring, builder beige on the walls. The floors were a nice neutral grey and we had a MASSIVE window which was something the other apartments we considered didn't have. Luckily we were able to get permission to paint the walls Cloud White by Benjamin Moore. As mentioned in our mood board post, we really wanted to try something a little different and take a vacation from all the monochrome-ness that is our NL home. For this room we chose the Winston bed in Jet Leaf to start. We wanted the room to feel really bright and natural with lots of textures and pattern.
