It's the day after Halloween and we are already getting ready for Christmas! I can't get through December with out those little twinkly Christmas lights in my life. This year we teamed up with a group of talented bloggers to do a wreath hop; make sure you check out their links at the bottom of this post! Their projects are sure to get you excited AND inspired for the holidays.

Materials

Cross stitch hoop

2 packs of copper string lights

AA batteries

Tape

Floral wire

Greenery of your choice

Pliers

Rope or ribbon of your choice

Start by wrapping your string lights around the cross stitch hoop. I used two sets because I wanted more light. I had them turned on while I did this to make sure things were looking ok. Once you are happy with the placement, secure the battery packs to the hoop with tape.

Start placing your floral around the part of the hoop you prefer, I did mine on the bottom but you could do this up the side. Use the floral wire to afix the greenery to the hoop by wrapping it around. The key here is to hide the battery packs for the lights, but be sure you still have easy access to the on/off switch.

Once you are happy with your floral, wrap some rope around the centre to hide the wire. You could also glue on some ornaments or a bow if you didn't want to use rope. I tied some rope to the top of my wreath for hanging, but you could also hang it on a nail or use a traditional wreath hook. Get creative with it!

Here's how my finished wreath looks.
